The beautifully extravagant 18 carat gold plated Pentax LX pictured above was released in 1981 to commemorate the 10 millionth sale of the standard LX SLR camera. 300 of these oddities were produced, each one delivered inside a wooden box, also containing a pair of silk gloves with which to handle it. This is the Celtic triskel which symbolises birth, life and death.

I’d been enamoured with this symbol for years and finally decided to get it inked onto my left wrist.

I got it done on 15 April 09 and it’s definitely not the last tattoo I’ll get.

This may come as a shock to you, but owning a DSLR doesn’t automatically make you a photographer. Neither does knowing how to put one object into focus. Congratulations, you’ve learned how to use macro.

This is a reccurring topic with me, and every once in awhile, I feel the need to address it. I know, I sound kinda bitter. But I hate when people think they’re so cool because they have a shiny new DSLR and call themselves photographers because of it. This does not apply to everyone, of course — but they’re out there.
